The DBX Crossover should be understood as an analog speaker crossover, not a speaker and not an amplifier. It does not power speakers by itself. Its job is to split the audio signal into frequency bands before the signal reaches the amplifiers, so tops receive the higher/mid frequencies and subwoofers receive the low-frequency range they are built to handle.
